Students may retake chapter tests. However, based on student effort I will determine if the student is eligible to retake a test or not. It is completely up to students if they want to retake or not, but I do recommend to students receiving a score of 75% or less that they should retake the test. ALL RETAKES WILL TAKE PLACE DURING FRIDAY ZAPS. NO ACCEPTIONS.
Please read through what students need to do in order to be able to take a retest. The Request to Retest Form is very clear on the expectations for this. Please ask me if you have any further questions.
**NOTE- the reflection sheets that we do in class ARE NOT the same thing as test corrections, and do not count as test corrections. Everyone in class will do a test reflection. Students who wish to retake must do test reflections AND corrections.**
WHAT STUDENTS NEED TO DO IN ORDER TO BE ABLE TO RETAKE A TEST:
2. Sign up for the retake on the Retake Clipboard
2. Get a copy of the test from me
3. Complete corrections for EVERY question that you did not get right (See specifics about corrections below)
4. Staple the corrections to the FRONT of your original test and have them signed. Turn all make up materials in to me by the day before the test to receive approval.
What do corrections look like? a. State correct answer b. AT LEAST 2-3 sentences explaining the correct answer. This needs to be in your own words, not taken directly out of the book. After I read it, I should feel like you understand the correct answer. - Adding supporting details from your notes is the easiest way to convince me of your complete understanding - These corrections should be done WITH your/ my notes, not off the top of your head -These corrections can be done on your own paper, can be typed, or you can use the Corrections Sheet I made if you would like it a little bit more organized.
If any of this is not clear, it is up to you to ask questions. Any corrections that do not meet the requirements above will need to be fixed.
